After graduating from Reading University with a degree in Land Management, Richard spent two years as an energy specialist at Carter Jonas advising on renewable energy technologies. During this time, Richard focussed primarily on medium scale wind and hydroelectric projects under the Feed-in Tariff scheme.
In 2011, Richard went on to launch his first business – North Wales Hydro Power – where he successfully developed a portfolio of 11 hydroelectric schemes of circa 100kW across North Wales. The portfolio was sold in 2020 to Temporis Capital. Richard has also developed multi-megawatt wind and energy storage sites across the UK through option and lease agreements and Joint Ventures with landowners.
Richard went back to his Commercial Real Estate roots and joined Glenbrook Property in 2018, spending over four years there as Investment Director before co-founding Tandem Investments in 2023.
